One of my main encouragers for the trip this coming weekend to Kuujjuaq was Josée. I met her and Amanda at a training they were giving in September and kept in touch. They were both such incredibly funny, positive, enthusiastic people I couldn't resist an invitation to hang out without any work responsibilities in tow. I honestly cannot think of a better word than zany for Josée. She makes me laugh a lot, but with the occasional inspirations of seriousness I find I have learned a lot from her. She is a team player, an open, attentive communicator and kind spirit. The school board is very lucky to have her!
Most of these pictures are taken during out day trip to Alain Rochefort's tent. We took three 4-wheelers deep into the bush and after doing some maintenance and grabbing a snack at the tent we started hiking around the tundra for a few hours. It was a super fantastic plan for the day and I loved every minute of hiking and talking and soaking in the wonderful scenery.
