Well, well, well. Spent the day mowing the lawn. I refuse to learn how to use the ride on mower. I feel like it is a conspiracy by my family to try and teach me driving skills, so push mower it is! I like it because it makes me sweat and feel like I am getting a least a bit of a workout. I planned to do only the back lawn, we have a huge enough one, so that my dad wouldn't be too overwhelmed with having to do all of it after he got back from 8 days in Halifax. Once I got started however, it was rather enjoyable, so I did front and back.
Natasha made plans for us in the evening. We'd meet up and head out of town to Sandy's house to hang. We met up with her son Jenym first, to be sure he had plans after work and we wouldn't have to be back to pick him up. He's a cool kid, works at Pharmasave, sings in a band and has a wicked sense of humour. Quite the character. We drove to Arcadia area and caught Sandy, completely exhausted and thinking seriously about bed instead of our visit. We talked her into letting us visit for a half hour and had a great time chatting, laughing and seeing her newest splurges at the mall. She has a cute home, love her decorating style, very cozy and cute in there!
We had a call from Jenym, that he hadn't quite figured out what he'd be doing and needed a ride. We left Sandy to finally get the rest she was desiring, and drove down to pick up Jenym. I insisted that he was such a character I NEEDED his photo as my picture of the day. Well, actually I bribed him, after giving him a piece of gum, I told him the pay was being my photo of the day. He cheerfully indulged me. He's in his final year of high school and has been accepted to the Centre for Arts and Technology for next year. He's got incredible pipes on him, as I mentioned before on his momma's day. So be sure to check out his singing skills (one of many links of his singing on youtube)!! He's a real cool cat! Enjoy the pic!
