Day 176- September 16- Darrel Emak

Darrel was my student for many years. Last year he left school and has been working a lot, often at Raglan Mine near Salluit, Nunavik. Darrel, and his brother Jeremias, were some of my all time favourite students. They were so creative each in their own way. Darrel's imagination and ability to sit down with a scrap of paper and a worn out pencil for three minutes and end up with an incredibly accurate sketch of a caribou or camping scene amazes me! I was glad to see him this day when he dropped into the school, as I have not seen him in over a year. Enjoy the pic!
